DLCW: Do we Support HIM or not?
Bismillah. Assalammualaikum.
I think tonight is the perfect time to post another interesting topic for my blog. Recently, Malaysia sport world has been 'exploded' with a very intriguing news; doping test. I bet that many of us already know about this topic and to whom it may concern. There are several thing that I would like to address here.
Firstly, is it Datuk Lee Chong Wei? Why is it so many speculations and even media try to accuse him? Is it has something to do with KJ press statements, "... it is one of the Malaysian top player.... " (Metro, 23/10). Following that, I am so shocked when social media easily accusing DLCW without searching and finding evidences the real person who is guilty. This situation reflects unproffesional attitudes and so called " shortcut " thinking behavior.
Secondly, what is so suprised, despite of many negative public perceptions and comments, there are still lots of people who backup and stay defend DLCW on this issue. Eventhough I am not really sure about the doping result, but first think that come across my mind yesterday morning is DLCW 'uncertainty' on the drug consumption. I assumed positively that he did not take any drugs during the Compahagen World Badminton Championship 2014, Denmark. It must have something to do with sabotages from certain parties who might have unfinished business with him.
Thirdly, I had a meaningful conversation with my colleague in which we came to conclude that there are many factors contributed to the fact why DLCW was tested right after the final match. One of the factor might be the doping test was done randomly without any purpose from the Federal Drug Association (FDA). Another assumption might be the association try to search the reason of DLCW fatigue and tiredness after the match, either it has something to relate with drug uneffectiveness. However, after all, these assumptions are made based on the DLCW performance on the event.
Lastly, I resist to make any wrong speculations, making over-generalisation or being a bias observer on this issue, but what can I say is if it proven true that DLCW was positively with drug on the B sample testing, He might consumed it unintentionally without his prior concern or he took it for a reason to make him fit and become a better player and again winning the competition for the sake of fulfilling the Malaysians' hopes and expectations. All in all, as a citizen of this country, we shall not make any condemns toward him, but we can give him supports and motivations because that is what he needs for the time being,
Bye. til we meet again, farewell! Wasalam.
